Camp Bearnstow, Mount Vernon (E) The easement at Camp Bearnstow protects 2,400 feet of spectacular shore land along Parker Pond and the surrounding upland. Ruth Grauert purchased this property in 1945 and founded Bearnstow as an educational corporation in 1946. Bearnstow conducts summer arts workshops, maintains nature trails and presents occasional public programs.
