Davidson Nature Preserve
DAVIDSON NATURE PRESERVE, VASSALBORO (F) This 97-acre Preserve protects ecologically important wetlands, woodlands and blueberry fields. Blueberry picking in July and August, and bird watching year around, are Preserve highlights. Access: On Taber Hill Road at KLT sign. No blazed trails, but short, easy walks on paths from Taber Hill Road to blueberry fields and the north end of the bog. From Augusta take RT 201 north to Vassalboro. Turn east on the Bog Rd for approximately 2.2 miles to the intersection of the Taber Hill Rd. Turn left (north) on Taber Hill Rd for approximately 1 mi. Look for the KLT sign and registration box at the wooden gate on the left (west) side of Taber Hill Road.
