GANNETT WOODS, Manchester and Readfield (F) This 120-acre preserve protects important wildlife habitat and woodland and includes pristine Shedd Pond. Gannett Woods is adjacent to the 708-acre Allen Whitney Memorial Forest which is owned by the New England Forestry Foundation.

Access: Trailhead is on Scribner Hill Rd, west side of Shedd Pond. trail connects to Wyman Forest path. Take Rt 17 to Rt 135. Go north on Rt 135 for 1.2 mi to Scribner Hill Rd. Turn southeast on Scribner Hill Rd for 1 mi. Look for KLT sign on the right.
