Reynolds Forest
REYNOLDS FOREST, Sidney (F) The 35-acre Reynolds Forest protects 2,000 feet of stream frontage and waterfalls along Goff Brook (formerly Marsh Brook). The brook drops steeply, connecting the Great Sidney Bog Plateau to the Kennebec River. Access: A one mile trail with side loops features the waterfalls. From Augusta take the River Road (Route 104) north towards Sidney. After entering Sidney, look for the Dinsmore Rd (on west side of River Rd). A KLT sign, parking area, and trailhead are about 0.3 miles north of the Dinsmore Rd. Be aware of poison ivy in the parking area, and road traffic. No hunting allowed. |
