Location: Vienna, Maine

Property Description: This hilltop property in the rural town of Vienna features the scenic undeveloped ridge of Eaton Mountain and an ecologically valuable perennial stream that flows into Flying Pond. This diverse conservation property is close to KLT’s Peter Miller Woodland and the 6,800 + acre Kennebec Highlands, the largest conservation property in central Maine.

Eaton Mountain Conservation Area adds additional conservation value to the Highlands, and due to its varied and diverse terrain, protects a landscape that could provide climate change resiliency.

Directions and Public Access: The access to the Eaton Mountain Conservation Area is approximately one mile from Route 41 on the west side of Kimball Pond Road. Look for  a KLT sign.

Trails: Though no formal trails are currently planned, the property offers an inviting landscape for quiet enjoyment and nature observation. Please respect our neighbors. Please park in a way that does not block the road or private driveways. Camping and fires are not allowed. No Commercial harvesting of mushrooms, berries &plants. Hunting is allowed on this property—please visit hunting policy and guidelines.

Dogs: For the protection of wildlife habitat and hikers, dogs should be under voice command or on a leash. Please pick up after your pets.
