Strategic Plan:

In 2023 the Kennebec Land Trust (KLT) celebrated its thirty-fifth year of conservation work in the Kennebec River and Lakes Region. Thanks to the support and generous contributions of 1,100 household members and business partners, dedicated volunteers, board members, conservation partners, and staff, we have experienced significant growth and developed a reputation as a thoughtful leader in central Maine.

Within the context of climate change and the knowledge that we are working in the ancestral and current homelands of the Wabanaki, KLT will continue to stay focused on supporting the ecological, social and economic well-being of human and natural communities in our 413,000 acre service region.

We are committed to conserving places that secure significant community values; taking care of our lands for the long term; and ensuring that everyone feels welcome on our conservation properties.
