Working in cooperation with the City of Augusta, the Kennebec Land Trust is raising funds to purchase and permanently conserve the 164-acre Howard Hill property. Howard Hill is the scenic backdrop to the State House, but also a large and diverse natural area in the middle of Augusta.

AUGUSTA — A project that would preserve the wooded backdrop to the Maine State House has a problem in the Maine State House.
