Parker Pond Conservation Area

Location and Description

Location: Vienna, Maine

Property Description: Located on the east shore of  Parker Pond, this land protects water quality, 1,470 feet of undeveloped shore land and an associated corridor of mature conifer-hardwood forest, and an upland hardwood forest. When combined with other nearby conservation and privately owned lands, this property provides important habitat for wildlife species that depend on both undeveloped lake and woodland habitats.

 

Directions and Public Access: From the chimney in Mt Vernon, drive north on rt. 41. Turn left on the Ithiel Gordon Rd. The KLT sign is on the left after approximately half a mile.

Trails: Trails and water access are planned for this location, for now you are welcome to walk down the road and explore the property and shoreline. Please respect our neighbors. Please park in a way that does not block the road or private driveways. Camping and fires are not allowed. No Commercial harvesting of mushrooms, berries &plants. Hunting is allowed on this property—please visit hunting policy and guidelines.

Dogs: For the protection of wildlife habitat and hikers, dogs should be under voice command or on a leash. Please pick up after your pets.
