This program is postponed due to dry conditions. Stay tuned for the new date. Dusty Small and Teague Morris, Small-Burnham Conservation Area property owners and mushroom enthusiasts, will lead a discussion and mushroom identification walk. The program will begin with a brief presentation focusing on the value of mushrooms for human health as well as responsible foraging and harvesting techniques, followed by a foraging walk around the 250-acre Small-Burnham Conservation Area led by Dusty Small and Teague Morris. Meet at the Small-Burnham Conservation Area parking lot and trailhead. Bring a collection basket, a pocket knife, and a hand lens. All ages welcome!

Directions: From Monmouth: Take the South Monmouth Road to Days Corner; Cross Route 126 and go over Oak Hill; Cross the bridge, and at the stop sign, turn left. Almost immediately take the first right onto the Libby Road. At the stop sign go straight onto the Plains Road. Take the Plains Road 1 mile to the Pine Tree Road. Turn left on the Pine Tree Road. After ~ 0.5 miles look for the KLT sign and parking area on the right.
